BASKETBALL:

t was a clean sweep for all three of the Navasota High School girl’s basketball  teams  Tuesday night as they defeated Sealy.

The freshman won 54-21 beating a previously undefeated Sealy squad.  Samia White led all scorers with 23 while Porsche Jones added 13 and Da’Lyric Foster chipped in 9.

The junior varsity got a hard fought 31-15 victory. Xi Whitely paced the Rattlers in scoring with 14 while Mikayla Collins had 6.

The varsity extended their winning streak to 5 games with a big 65-29 victory over the Lady Tigers. Eleven of the 12 Navasota players got into the scoring action led by sophomore post Kel’neisha Moore with 12 and Savannah Stringfellow with 11.

The win improves the Big Blue’s season record to 8-10.  The ladies will have some much deserved time off before they travel to Hillsboro next Tuesday.
