First in a series of six

BRYAN – Petersburg shortstop Kynlee Ovalle is the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association Class A player of the year.

Ovalle batted .649 with 14 home runs, 15 triples and 17 doubles with 83 runs batted in. The junior also had 48 stolen bases.
