Navasota’s Eddings signs with Blinn

Ke'aundra Eddings Signs

Navasota senior student-athlete Ke’aundra Eddings on Wednesday signed a national letter of intent to attend Blinn College.

The 5-5 guard is the school’s all-time scoring leader with 2,267 points. She also finished her high school career first in steals and in 3-point shots made.

Blinn College head women’s basketball coach Jeff Jenkins is excited about getting another Rattler on his roster.

“I’ve been watching Ke’aundra since her freshman year,” Jenkins said. “She was the first player we offered a scholarship to this year and we did that way back in October. I’m thrilled that she choose us and I’m glad I get the opportunity to coach her the next two years.”

Eddings said she picked Blinn over the other schools in part because of Coach Jenkins and his staff.

“I felt very comfortable when I first met him,” said Eddings. “He has built a great program and I know he will help me become a better player. Blinn was the right fit for me both athletically and academically.”

Jenkins added, “Players coming out of Navasota are well coached and tough kids. Ke’aundra is the 5th Navasota player I have signed since I’ve been the coach here. I have had tremendous luck with the previous four and I know she will do great things.”
