LONGVIEW – Division I champion Ganado earned both top superlatives with the release of the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association Class 2A All-State Softball Team for the 2025 season.

Saylor Bures was named Player of the Year, and James Harp picked up Coach of the Year honors.

Bures went 31-3 in the pitcher’s circle for Ganado with a 1.39 earned run average, 257 strikeouts and 58 walks in 171 innings pitched.

Ganado finished 33-5-1 under Harp, defeating Riesel 5-4 for the state championship.

Voting was conducted by TSWA members based on nominations from coaches and media members from around the state.
