LONGVIEW – Jordyn Thibodeaux of Corpus Christi Calallen and Jimmy Eby of Robinson earned top honors with the release of the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association Class 4A All-State Softball Team.

Thibodeaux earned Player of the Year honors, and Eby was selected as the division’s Coach of the Year.

Voting was conducted by TSWA members based on nominations from coaches and media members from around the state.

Thibodeaux helped lead Corpus Christi Calallen to the Class 4A Division I state title. The McNeese State verbal pledge went 18-6 with four saves in the circle for Calallen, finishing with a 1.02 earned run average, 268 strikeouts and 43 walks in 144 innings pitched.

Eby led Robinson to a 37-3 record and the Class 4A Division II title with a 10-1 win over Aubrey.
